About Us

The Wee Wonders British Championships was founded back in 1995 by Alasdair Good at Foxhills Golf Club. The idea of Wee Wonders was born when Alasdair realised after discussions with the governing bodies of golf that junior golf was not being targeted to kids under the age of 12. He felt that there was a massive opportunity to get young kids into golf and develop them from the coaching bay to competitive golf.

From small beginnings, it rapidly grew to become the only tournament with fully national coverage for children in the age range 5 to 12 and it takes pride in the opportunity it provides for entry into competitive golf both for children new to the game and for the most experienced young players.

Over the years the format of the event has changed and evolved into what it is today – a championship with various regional qualifying and regional final events across the UK and Ireland, culminating in a Grand Final event played over two days.
